General Information
Student must
be 15 years old by the beginning of the Nine week period.
This driver's education course will be offered four times
during the year.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Student
must complete the 4 hour Drug,
Alcohol, Traffic Education Course.
- Student
must have in their possession a Learner's Driver
License by the end of the 1st week of class.
- No Sandals
(closed toe, closed heel shoes only), No hats, No
Food, No Phones, No Ipods, etc.
- Enroll
through the Guidance Office.
- THE
FOR CREDIT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE:
- Academic
Credit and Grade.
- 30 Hours
of Classroom instruction.
- 6 Hours
of Behind the Wheel instruction.
- Preparation
for the actual State of Florida road test.
- Upon
completion - each student will recieve an insurance
certificate for the purpose of insurance discounts.
- THE
NON-CREDIT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE:
- 6 Hours
of Classroom instruction.
- Approximately
8 driving sessions after school over a 2 1/2 week
period OR 6 Saturday sessions.
- 6 Hours
of Observation.
- Preparation
for the actual State of Florida road test.
- Upon
completion - each student will recieve an insurance
certificate for the purpose of insurance discounts.
- SUMMER
SCHOOL PROGRAM:
FREE COUNTY PROGRAM!
- Offered
during summer break (two sessions Monday through Thursday).
- Offered
at 4 High Schools with 2 - 12 day sessions.
- Must attend
Mandatory Orientation.
- Driving
times assigned at Orientation.
- Each student
assigned a 90 minute driving time between 8:00
- 5:30 (ending).
- 6 Hours
of Behind the Wheel instruction only.
- Preparation
for the actual State of Florida road test.
- Upon completion
- each student will recieve an insurance certificate
for the purpose of insurance discounts.
Note: failure to
complete required hours of instruction will result in no certificate
being issued. |
